Things to Do
Activities
Steamboat Springs offers a wide range of activities both around town and across the valley. Below is a short list of our recommendations, but we encourage you to explore the area as much as possible. For anyone interested in golfing we recommend grabbing a tee time at Haymaker, which is a course we played with Scott & Crystal last summer. Fun fact: we almost got struck by lightning!

Hiking
Steamboat Springs has tons of hiking trails in and around town across a variety of levels. We recommend using AllTrails, where you can filter for distances and difficulty based on your preference. Below is a list of some of the most popular hikes:
-
Hot Springs
One of our favorite parts about Steamboat is Strawberry Hot Springs, which is just a short drive from town. There are multiple pools as well as cold plunges and we couldn’t recommend it more!
Note: you have to reserve ahead and it is cash only ($20/pp).
-
Yampa River
The Yampa River runs right through town and is a great place to take a dip. There are multiple outfitters in town where you can rent inner tubes, fishing rods, etc. You can also rent e-bikes to take along the Yampa River trails which is a great way to explore the valley. As with anything, we recommend booking prior to arrival to ensure availability!
Restaurants
There are tons of great restaurants in town to choose from. We have listed our favorites below, but you really can’t go wrong!
-
Beard & Braid - our favorite coffee in town.
Causeway Coffee - good jumping off point at the top of Oak St
Yampa Valley Kitchen - amazing breakfast spot in a converted home. Very cozy.

-
Mountain Tab Brewery - bomb pizza
Salt & Lime - yummy tacos with a great rooftop
Back Door Grill - best burgers in town
Taco Cabo - informal taco joint right on the river
