Can you explain what the attire expectations are for the weekend?
We understand that dress codes can be confusing for guests, so we have outlined some examples below that will hopefully provide more clarity as to what is appropriate to wear.
Welcome Party - Mountain Chic
Dark denim, chinos, or slacks with a button down shirt. Jacket not required.
Dresses, skirts, or smart trousers
Western wear welcomed!
Ceremony & Reception - Black Tie (Optional)
Tuxedos (for those that own or choose to rent), or suit & tie
Midi/floor-length dresses or gowns
Note: both the ceremony & cocktail hour will be partially on grass. Please plan your footwear accordingly.
Will transportation be provided for both the Welcome Party & Wedding?
Transportation will not be provided for the Welcome Party on Friday, but will be provided for the ceremony & reception on Saturday. Steamboat’s free shuttle bus operates regularly throughout the summer and drops off right in front of Snow Bowl. Additionally there will be plenty of space for parking should you wish to drive on Friday. More details about transportation throughout the wedding weekend will be available on this website closer to the date.
Are children welcome at any of the wedding festivities?
The wedding celebrations will be for adults only, except for immediate family. Thank you for your understanding!
Is it necessary to rent a car in Steamboat?
No - There are plenty of recreational activities (e.g. biking, hiking) that are accessible from the base of the mountain and there is a free bus service in the summer that can easily take you downtown. See the Travel & Transportation section for more details.
